Senior BMS Commissioning Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BMS commissioning activities from project initiation through final handover.
• Configure, program, test, and commission BMS controllers, supervisory systems, and field devices.
• Develop and modify control logic, sequences of operation, alarms, trends, schedules, and graphics.
• Perform integration of HVAC, Chillers, FAHU/AHU systems, FCUs, Pumps, VFDs, Energy Meters, Power Monitoring Systems, Lighting Control Systems, and other third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot communication networks and protocols including BACnet, Modbus RTU/TCP, Mbus etc.. where applicable.
• Conduct Functional Performance Testing , Integrated System Testing, and client demonstrations.
• Review and prepare control drawings, I/O schedules, points list, and sequences of operation.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, MEP contractors, and facility management teams during project execution.
• Prepare commissioning reports, method statements, test sheets, as-built documentation, and project closeout documents.
• Perform duties related to Defects Liability Period (DLP) and AMC activities, AMC projects.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in BMS commissioning and system integration.
• Strong experience with Niagara Framework (N4) including Station engineering ,Graphics development, Supervisor configuration, Alarm management, Trend management, User administration, Third-party integrations
• Sound knowledge of: HVAC control systems, Chiller plant controls, Energy monitoring systems, building automation architecture, Network infrastructure related to BMS systems
• The candidate should have practical experience with: BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, MBus etc.

Added Advantages

• Experience with Johnson Controls systems (Metasys, FAC/FEC Controllers, NAE/NCE).
• Experience with Schneider Electric M172 Controllers and EcoStruxure platforms.
• Exposure to Distech, Honeywell, Siemens, EasyIO, or other major BMS platforms.
• Experience in cloud-based monitoring and analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and advanced Niagara integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• Relevant Niagara and BMS certifications will be considered a strong advantage.
• UAE Driving License preferred.
