Role overview
Experienced, motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist with Flow Cytometry expertise sought for the team at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The post focuses on quality and service provision and leading team change and improvement.
Main duties
- Focus on quality and service provision.
- Lead the team in change and improvement with the Blood Sciences site management team.
Essential experience
- Good, up-to-date knowledge of laboratory Flow Cytometry service and knowledge and experience of wider Blood Sciences.
- Evidence of service development involvement, managing a laboratory or laboratory sections, and delivering quality-led laboratory services.
Essential skills
- Multidisciplinary teamwork; technical, quality and safety knowledge; workload organization to meet deadlines and clinical priorities; good communication skills.
Essential qualifications
- BSc Biomedical Science; MSc Biomedical Science; specialist portfolio; HCPC registration; evidence of continuous professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Welsh language ability and experience developing a laboratory service.
- Implementing processes; teaching and coaching; participation in quality assessments and accreditation visits; staff management; IT knowledge.
- Managerial qualification and Flow Cytometry qualification.
