Role summary

Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems.

Drive technical architecture, mentor teammates, and collaborate across functions to deliver reliable solutions.

Location and work arrangement

  • The role is located in Gurgaon, India and is hybrid, full-time.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement robust backend solutions for complex scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams.
  • Improve engineering practices, technologies, patterns, and processes.
  • Help modernize legacy systems and migrate to cloud-native architectures.
  • Support system and data migrations with minimal disruption and good performance.
  • Identify improvements to systems, processes, and scalability.
  • Contribute to code reviews and engineering quality.
  • Monitor production systems and help resolve critical issues.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, or a similar object-oriented language; experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on relational database knowledge and experience with queues or streaming platforms.
  • Strong unit testing, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
  • Experience designing functionality for complex existing components while maintaining scalability and performance.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • BA/BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Additional strengths

  • Legacy modernization or platform migration experience is highly valued.
  • Cloud platforms, Agile methods, MongoDB, AI/ML, and mentoring experience may be advantageous.
