Senior Backend Developer

About the role

Responsibilities

• Develop the game server-side application logic.
• Evolve software applications using current development infrastructure and Ruby 3.
• Develop software analytics and observability solutions.
• Maintain automated tests.
• Conduct unit tests and code reviews.
• Refactor source code and assess and improve software performance.
• Write and document code that meets project standards and delivers required functionality.
• Align implementation with overall engineering standards and guidelines.
• Introduce technologies and practices that improve documentation, scalability, testing, and refactoring.

Requirements

• Seasoned experience in software development.
• Professional experience within the iGaming industry.
• Strong working experience with Ruby.
• Familiarity with C/C++, Rust, or Go is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of the command line and Git version control.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Willingness to learn and work with technologies such as gRPC, GraphQL, and Go.
• Excellent written communication and documentation abilities in English.
• Open and persuasive communication style, including the ability to explain difficult issues and complex relationships.
