Innover Digital seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright and TypeScript for its Quality Engineering team.
The role designs, develops, and maintains scalable automation frameworks to support high-quality software delivery.
Automation and quality delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Build reusable automation frameworks aligned with engineering best practices.
- Create automated suites for functional, regression, API, integration, and UI testing.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
- Analyze execution results, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Ensure automation coverage of critical workflows and improve test efficiency.
Team collaboration and framework practices
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and QA teams to define test strategies.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive automation best practices.
- Scale Playwright frameworks for large applications using Page Object Model and other design patterns.
- Implement parallel execution, custom reporting, retries, test data management, and API automation within UI suites.
- Maintain test architecture, framework maintainability, and code quality.
Mandatory qualifications
- Five or more years of software quality assurance and test automation experience.
- Expert-level Playwright with TypeScript experience.
- Strong understanding of automated UI and API testing.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with REST API testing tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and experience with Git.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications
- Cloud-based testing experience and knowledge of performance testing concepts are preferred.
- SQL and database validation experience, exposure to Azure cloud services, and familiarity with BDD frameworks and reporting tools are preferred.
- Enterprise-scale application experience is preferred.
