Qualifications
- Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or comparable experience
- Work Experience:
- Experience in project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, Excel, Tableau)
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning/management
- Experience in data analysis
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification (e.g., Certified Project Management Practitioner, International Project Management Association / Prince 2 / CSM - Certified Scrum Master / CSPO - Certified Scrum product owner)
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Responsibilities
- Manages project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Conducts thorough risk assessments and develops actionable mitigation plans to address potential project challenges
- Evaluates progress towards program goals by monitoring project performance against goals, making adjustments to plans and strategies to ensure successful outcomes
- Prepares comprehensive project reports and updates, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and project documentation is up-to-date
- Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements by ensuring all project activities across different workstreams adhere to relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Aligns project deliverables with the organization’s strategic goals, ensuring they contribute to overall business success
- Provides inputs in Program Increment (PI) planning meetings with colleagues and other agile ceremonies for teams to pressure test plans for feasibility, capacity, and risk
- Contributes to the full life cycle of product development, from concept to delivery, including Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
