AI Product Owner

Job Description

Experience: 8–15 years in technology/product roles, with demonstrated Product Owner or Business Analysis experience in AI-driven or automation initiatives

Location

  • Pune
  • Reports To: Mrinalini Kulkarni

Role Summary

We're looking for an AI Product Owner to drive the definition, prioritization, and delivery of AI-enabled product capabilities. This role bridges business stakeholders and engineering/data science teams, translating complex, ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable user stories that drive value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end requirement gathering through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs
  • Manage relationships across business, technology, compliance, and vendor stakeholders; align competing priorities into a coherent product roadmap
  • Author clear, structured requirement documentation (BRDs, functional specs, process flows)
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed, sprint-ready user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog; partner with Scrum teams through sprint planning, grooming, and UAT
  • Define and validate acceptance criteria in collaboration with QA and engineering
  • Evaluate AI/ML and automation use cases for feasibility, business value, and risk (model accuracy, data quality, explainability, compliance)
  • Partner with data science/engineering teams to define training data needs, evaluation metrics, and success criteria for AI features
  • Drive UAT planning, execution, and sign-off with business stakeholders
  • Monitor post-launch performance and iterate based on user feedback and product metrics

Required Qualifications

  • 8–15 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Program Management within technology-driven environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML product concepts (LLMs, agentic workflows, automation platforms) — technical depth not required, but fluency in AI product trade-offs is expected
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Asset Management or broader financial services domain
  • Exposure to automation platforms (e.g., Unqork, Automation Anywhere) or AI agent/LLM-based tooling
  • Certifications such as CSPO, POPM
  • _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
