Role overview
An experienced Associate or Senior Associate is sought for a corporate transactional practice based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
The role involves complex, high-value M&A and private equity work across the UAE, wider Middle East, and international markets.
The client base includes multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity investors, and sovereign wealth funds.
Transactional work
- Advise on public and private M&A transactions and private equity investments, acquisitions, and exits.
- Work on cross-border joint ventures, strategic investments, corporate restructurings, and disposals.
- Manage significant aspects of complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions across a range of sectors.
- Work directly with clients, coordinate with international colleagues, and supervise junior lawyers.
Candidate requirements
- Approximately 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate M&A and private equity at a major US, Magic Circle, or international law firm.
- Experience at a leading international or highly regarded corporate law practice and a strong record on complex, high-value transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction-management skills, with strong commercial judgment and client relationship skills.
- An excellent academic background.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are welcomed.
- Previous Middle East experience is advantageous but not essential.
