Senior Assistant Audit Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage client financial statement audits in compliance with UAE regulations, ISA, and IFRS.
• Supervise auditors and guide and train junior staff.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide insights.
• Oversee engagements from planning through reporting, reviewing work papers, financial statements, and reports for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.
• Identify and assess business risks and recommend improvements.
• Assist with client relationships and client satisfaction.
• Support the audit manager and senior team in audit planning and execution.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree and a CA, CPA, or equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification are required.
• Seven to ten years of external audit experience, including three to four years in a managerial position; exposure to large or mid-sized clients is ideal.
• Experience in audit planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and audit completion.
• Practical experience preparing and reviewing standalone and consolidated financial statements under IFRS, auditing standards, and UAE regulations.
• Knowledge of UAE Commercial Companies Law, UAE Corporate Tax regulations, and other applicable rules.
• Proficiency with auditing software and MS Office applications.
• Strong communication, leadership, team management, and deadline management capabilities.
• Arabic is highly preferred, with excellent English; multicultural experience and understanding of UAE business dynamics are preferred.
