Role Description
The Senior Architect – Technical Office will be responsible for leading and reviewing architectural design packages, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with codes, and alignment with project requirements.
This full-time, on-site role in the Riyadh Region involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, preparing and checking drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and supporting design development from concept through construction documentation.
The Senior Architect will oversee the resolution of technical issues, manage design changes, and support value engineering efforts to optimize quality, cost, and constructability.
Day-to-day tasks include guiding junior team members, liaising with project managers and site teams, responding to RFIs, and ensuring that all documentation is consistent, complete, and properly coordinated.
The role also includes participating in client and consultant meetings, providing technical input, and supporting quality assurance processes for architectural deliverables.
Qualifications
- Strong architectural design and technical documentation skills, including experience in developing and reviewing drawings, details, and specifications.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) and solid understanding of digital workflows and document control practices.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, construction methods, and materials relevant to large-scale architectural and engineering projects.
- Experience in coordination with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and well-resolved design solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical office teams, manage workloads, and support a collaborative, quality-focused work environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical review capabilities with attention to detail and consistency in documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to participate in client and consultant meetings and clearly present technical information.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, with substantial experience in a similar senior technical office or design coordination role.
- Previous experience in consultancy environments and familiarity with regional practices in the Riyadh Region or the Gulf region is advantageous.
