Parsons is hiring a Senior Architect for architectural design assignments.
The role includes hands-on design work and leadership of a small team of Architects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare functional designs, details, and design solutions.
- Lead a small team of junior Architects and take responsibility for submissions.
- Review drawings for design quality, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and review their work.
- Prepare reports, specifications, and presentations.
- Perform a wide variety of architectural assignments using applicable design standards, practices, and techniques.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- At least 16 years of experience in a design architect role.
- Proficiency in Revit and CAD.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through professionalism, cooperation, and a constructive attitude.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Desired qualifications
- Collaborate effectively under pressure and represent the firm professionally with clients, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders.
- Mentoring, coaching, and team-development skills.
- Experience developing office standards, workflows, templates, or best practices.
- Identify potential project issues early and recommend practical solutions.
