• The opportunity
• The Senior Architect - Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering leads the architecture, design, and technical governance of large-scale private cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, resilience, security, and operational readiness.
• Working closely with architecture, engineering, product, security, operations, and business stakeholders, the role ensures that cloud platform designs align with functional and non-functional requirements, business objectives, and industry best practices.
• Your key responsibilities
• Own and lead the end-to-end architecture and design of large-scale private and hybrid cloud platforms based on OpenStack, including multi-AZ design, scalability, resilience, and integration with enterprise infrastructure and services.
• Define cloud platform architecture standards, design principles, technology roadmaps, and service evolution across the organization’s platform portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutions.
• Evaluate, select, and design cloud infrastructure technologies across compute, virtualization, networking, storage integration, automation, and platform services.
• Validate, approve, and contribute to HLDs, LLDs, SOWs, RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring alignment with performance, scalability, security, availability, and reliability requirements.
• Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and providing technology recommendations.
• Review and approve cloud platform architecture changes, ensuring alignment with standards, operational readiness, and risk management requirements.
• Drive architecture improvements to optimize cloud platform efficiency, resilience, automation, and service reliability.
• Oversee deployment readiness, implementation quality, and acceptance testing against approved design documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, architecture briefings, and solution recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement, architecture governance, operational standards, and documentation practices to improve service quality and stakeholder experience.
• What we’re looking for
• (a) Required skills / qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure or cloud platforms, including 5+ years of extensive experience with large-scale OpenStack-based environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of private cloud, virtualization, and software-defined infrastructure technologies, including SDN and SDS concepts.
• Deep expertise in OpenStack architecture, core services, and related platform components, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Octavia, Keystone, and Ironic.
• Strong understanding of OpenStack, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and cloud-native platform principles.
• Strong knowledge of data center networking concepts and technologies, including the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancing, VLAN/VXLAN, and high-availability network design.
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, and network integration patterns in large-scale private cloud environments.
• Experience designing highly available, multi-AZ, and geo-distributed cloud platforms.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration, automation, and scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with observability and logging platforms such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenSearch, or Graylog is desirable.
• Experience with HPC, GPU, AI accelerator, or high-performance infrastructure design is an advantage.
• Understanding of database platforms and their infrastructure requirements for cloud environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF or Zachman is an advantage.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, standards, and operational procedures.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or cloud platform projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications in cloud computing, virtualization, OpenStack, K8s, or enterprise architecture are advantageous.
