Defence Projects Role

Responsibilities

• Manage teams producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
• Lead architectural staff, project meetings, and coordination with other building disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform internal model and drawing reviews and quality checks for BIM standards compliance.
• Research materials, products, and technologies and incorporate them into details, specifications, and documents.
• Manage consultant teams and client communication.
• Provide technical and administrative oversight to meet internal and external client needs and project cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, forecasting, staffing, and financial performance with accounting.
• Travel to remote First Nation communities and work sites.

Qualifications

• Be a registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligible to be registered.
• Have 7 or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Be familiar with relevant provincial and national standards and codes.
• Know BIM principles and workflows, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam.
• Experience with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
• Experience or desire to work with Indigenous communities is an asset.
• Prior DCC and DND project experience, English and French bilingual proficiency, and ability to obtain or hold Reliability and Secret clearance are essential assets.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD 95,000 to 125,800 for Ontario.
• Salary range is CAD 93,700 to 124,200 for AB, BC, NT, NU, SK, and YT.
• Salary range is CAD 84,700 to 112,400 for NB, NL, NS, PE, and QC.
• Final salary may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and organizational needs.

Fieldwork and Safety

• Travel to remote First Nation communities and work sites is required.
• Fieldwork may involve remote or isolated areas, working alone, and inclement weather within safe and reasonable limits.
• Compliance with company and client Health, Safety and Environment policies is expected at client locations.
