The Opportunity

• Senior Network Architect – has a lead role in design and leads the decision-making process of Core42 DC Network (DCN) infrastructure in terms of scalability, lifecycle and performance.
• Senior Network Architect – approves complex DCN solutions according to application requirements and network security design.
• Strategically plans the DCN network to meet the future requirements.
• Your key responsibilities
• Defining and verifying DCN functionalities for the Core42 Products and Platforms and supporting services.
• Communicating design decisions and technology roadmaps with internal stakeholders regarding the designs and technology roadmaps.
• Communicating cost structure of DCN solution with Procurement and Finance teams, assuring they have visibility to all the components of the solution.
• Verifying and coordinating preparation of RFI/RFP/RFQ documents, approving BOQ for network devices.
• Approving new DCN High-level and Low-level designs for the new deployments in Core42 environment. Responsible for approved designs and solutions in terms of performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participating in optimization or improvement of the existing DCN network topologies and responsible for approving DCN architecture change.
• Approving of complex WAN/LAN scalable network solutions with focus on high-availability, redundancy, and resiliency.
• Technical approval of integration with the external/partners networks such as Private Networking Peering or Network to Network Peering.
• Enforcing security policies and compliance requirements to keep DCN network compliant with the regulatory standards.
• Coordinating technical team of more than 2 Architects/Engineers during the preparation and documentation of architectures and solutions.
• Leading the communication with Vendors during the technology selection and solution review process.
• Approving presentation decks for the Client meetings and attending meetings with clients. Maintaining Client relationship.
• Creating and proposing disaster recovery procedures to the Engineering and Operations teams
• Responsible for the process management standardizing decision making process and improving collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in DC network design and implementation
• Extensive experience in network design and planning
• Extensive knowledge of L2/L3 networking concepts including IPv6
• Understanding of security concepts including NGFW features, IPSEC/SSL authentication and confidentiality principles, and ethernet security (such as MACSEC).
• Detailed knowledge about DCN concepts (CLOS, spine-leaf, non-blocking architecture)
• Expert level knowledge in core network technologies: routing and switching, QoS, overlay technologies (VXLAN, GRE, MPLS)
• Expertise in planning, designing, implementation & troubleshooting of routing protocols like OSPF & MP-BGP
• Understanding of IP Multicast concepts and solutions (PIM, IGMP, MSR)
• Excellent understanding of following protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, IPSec, DNS
• Understanding the use cases for deployment of next generation firewalls.
• Deep understanding of Data Center SDN architectures and protocols
• Understanding of constructs such as Azure Express Route Direct or AWS Direct Connect
• Understanding of constructs such as AWS VPC and related networking services.
• Experience in automation and scripting processes (Python)
• Deep understanding of Public IP and NNI/PNI peering concept
• Ensure that network architecture complies with industry standards (such as ISO or NIST)
• Team player, self-motivated, willing to learn, result oriented, willing to share the knowledge
• Expert level certificate like in area of DCN is a plus.
• GCC Driving license is highly desirable
