Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI and LLM-powered features; improve model performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions and advance provider-agnostic architecture for secure access to multiple LLM ecosystems.
• Build internal AI tools for engineering productivity and employee workflows; establish practices for model evaluation, prompt engineering, testing, and governance.
• Apply privacy, security, compliance, auditability, regulatory, reliability, and maintainability safeguards to AI systems.
• Contribute to data-stack and AI-platform architecture; mentor engineers and evaluate emerging capabilities for measurable value.

Requirements

• At least 5 years building and deploying AI/ML systems in production; hands-on experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and performance optimization.
• Experience with business-critical AI reliability, compliance, and uptime; proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred), data architecture, APIs, and scalable backend systems.
• Experience in product-focused engineering teams; ability to balance innovation with stability, cost discipline, and business impact.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate globally.
• Bonus: vector databases, RAG, model orchestration, Databricks, Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, or healthcare, research, and data-intensive domains.
