Role overview

Systems, projects, and support

• Coordinate specifications, test scripts, training curriculum, and project plans for simple-to-medium projects; manage focus and design groups.
• Develop technical documentation and support dictionaries, tables, screens, and parameters that maintain information system integrity and functionality.
• Support process improvement and patient safety work; maintain system, user, and training documentation.
• Troubleshoot systems with customers, Information Systems teams, and vendors; manage and perform testing for maintenance releases, integration, and fixes.
• Manage complex unit or department projects and cross-functional teams, and help improve technology use and workflows.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance of system tables, including security classes, aggregates, order references, and charge masters.
• Provide primary support for enterprise-wide financial and clinical systems, including design, development, testing, and deployment of assigned functionality.
• Collaborate across clinical, finance, billing, and patient management groups to ensure consistent system functions and address downtime procedures.

Work schedule and service

• Provide rotated on-call support and work non-primary shift hours as needed.
• Meet service-level agreements and complete deliverables on time with minimal supervision.

Minimum qualifications

• At least six years of information technology experience.
• Prior experience implementing a clinical, departmental, hospital, financial, or enterprise information system.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Healthcare information systems experience is strongly preferred.
• A clinical credential is preferred for clinical system roles.
