The existing internal team will continue to manage Oracle Forms and PL/SQL; this role focuses on the frontend and integration with existing services and approved interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Angular screens and workflows, building responsive interfaces with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Translate application functionality and business requirements into Angular components, services, and frontend logic.
- Integrate with Oracle Database through approved APIs, backend services, or existing database interfaces.
- Collaborate with the Oracle Forms and database team to maintain functional consistency during migration.
- Implement validation, data and error handling, navigation, and user interactions.
- Write clean, modular, reusable, documented code and follow secure coding and source-code management procedures.
- Test, debug, optimize, and maintain the application; provide technical documentation and progress updates.
Required qualifications and skills
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience, including substantial recent hands-on Angular development.
- Strong Angular and TypeScript proficiency; strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and component-based application development.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services, and with Git or equivalent version control.
- Understanding of web application architecture, debugging, testing, performance optimization, and application security.
- Ability to modernize an established enterprise application without unnecessarily disrupting backend functionality; work with a development team and deliver independently.
- Experience migrating legacy enterprise applications to Angular and working with Oracle-backed enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with database-driven applications consuming data through APIs; experience with large business applications such as ERP, logistics, freight forwarding, finance, or inventory management.
Role scope
Deep PL/SQL development and Oracle Forms expertise are not required; the existing team manages database-side logic.
