Senior Android Engineer

Overview

Accountabilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of Android SDKs and mobile applications focused on device intelligence, fraud detection, and mobile security.
• Design and implement advanced detection signals while improving application performance, stability, scalability, and reliability across Android products.
• Build and enhance mobile applications and developer tools using modern Android technologies, including Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, analysts, and security researchers to deliver impactful end-to-end solutions and improve fraud prevention capabilities.
• Research, prototype, and evaluate new methodologies and technical approaches to strengthen mobile intelligence and detection systems.
• Analyze post-deployment data and contribute to the continuous improvement of server-side logic, detection accuracy, and overall product effectiveness.
• Maintain and support open-source Android projects and demo applications while improving developer experience and usability.
• Translate UI designs into high-quality mobile interfaces and ensure consistent implementation of modern Android best practices.
• Provide technical insights and data-driven recommendations to internal teams through analysis of mobile ecosystem trends and device intelligence patterns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in native Android development in a senior engineering capacity.
• Strong background in information security, mobile security, or fraud prevention technologies within security-focused environments or products.
• Proven experience building Android applications and SDKs from scratch with strong ownership across the development lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of Android internals, mobile system behavior, and performance optimization techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
• Experience with C++ and low-level mobile development concepts.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work closely with product and data teams on data-driven initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly within remote-first and asynchronous work environments.
• Familiarity with developer-focused tooling and SDK development is highly desirable.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Android obfuscation techniques, or mobile security concepts is considered a plus.
• Interest in backend development, fraud detection logic, or participation in the information security community is advantageous.
• Open-source contributions or an active GitHub presence are appreciated.
