Role overview

Candidate profile

• At least 5 years of QA experience, preferably including POS testing.
• Experience testing physical POS terminals, payment peripherals, and integrated payment gateways, or willingness to learn.
• Strong understanding of retail store operations, omnichannel workflows, and POS ecosystem architecture.
• Effective communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Technical leadership, ownership, problem-solving, and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional, integration, and regression testing across POS machines, payment terminals, and store systems.
• Review junior analysts' test plans, test cases, and execution logs.
• Define test strategies, identify project risks, and drive defect resolution.
• Create test cases, scenarios, and execution matrices from business requirements and store workflows.
• Validate APIs, database updates, log files, and message queues supporting POS transactions.
• Prepare test execution status reports and maintain release-readiness visibility.
• Improve testing workflows, tools, and practices.

Technical skills

• Use Postman and REST/SOAP for API testing.
• Use SQL for backend data validation.
• Work with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, and Zephyr.
• POS-compatible automation testing experience is advantageous.
