Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting

Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and materials for disclosure and audit committees.
• Support monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Research complex agreements and transactions, determine IFRS accounting treatment, prepare journal entries, and draft technical accounting memoranda.
• Monitor accounting standards, support regulatory compliance and implementation of changes, and collaborate with external auditors on the annual audit.
• Improve reporting accuracy and efficiency; support financial policies, processes, systems, internal controls, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across finance, corporate, and operational teams.
• Report hazards and incidents and follow the Company Safety Policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related discipline, complemented by CPA accreditation.
• Four to five years of direct financial reporting experience and prior experience with a major public accounting firm.
• Deep IFRS expertise, including complex and judgmental transactions, and strong working knowledge of consolidations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, analytical ability, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proactive process-improvement mindset and strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
