Senior Accounting Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own lease accounting activities, including right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, agreements, modifications, and monthly reconciliations under ASC 842.
• Manage fixed-asset additions, disposals, depreciation, capital expenditures, and related balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accurate month-end financial reporting.
• Analyze monthly results, investigate variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Partner with Operations, Real Estate, and Finance on new locations, capital projects, and lease transactions.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Support annual audits, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage franchise accounting, including royalty and fee revenue recognition, franchise receivables, and reconciliations.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with fixed-asset accounting, account reconciliations, and monthly financial close.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• ASC 842 lease-accounting experience is preferred.
• CPA or public accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
