Senior Accountant

About This Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and the timely reporting of financial information. The role includes maintaining the General Ledger, managing invoicing processes (Receipt Vouchers & Payment Vouchers), performing reconciliations, and supporting credit control activities.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

Invoicing (RV & PV)

• Process and review Receipt Vouchers (RV), Payment Vouchers (PV), and tax invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve invoicing issues and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all invoicing activities.

Reconciliation & Credit Control

• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
• Support the credit control function by monitoring accounts receivable and following up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare and analyze credit control reports for management review.

Support & Compliance

• Provide support to the Accounting Manager in financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
