Role overview
Build and own the finance function for MaktabiTech’s Dubai operations.
The role offers scope to shape finance in a project-driven, fast-growing business.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly close, reconciliations, and IFRS-compliant Dubai entity reporting, with group visibility.
- Manage project accounting for multi-phase contract revenue recognition, WIP, cost tracking, and margin analysis.
- Prepare management reports and explain financial results to senior leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Manage UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance; coordinate with auditors and banks.
- Strengthen internal controls, processes, and systems as the company scales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW qualification, qualified or part-qualified.
- At least 5 years of experience, including Big 4 or equivalent audit exposure.
- Experience with consolidation, group reporting, and internal controls.
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax.
- Clear communication, curiosity, ownership, and follow-through.
