Role overview

What you'll do

• Drive monthly SAP close with GFSS, including journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting packs; ensure accurate and timely results.
• Interpret SAP general ledger, cost centre, and profit centre reports and improve reporting templates and close processes.
• Prepare monthly budget and forecast variance analyses, investigate variances, explain drivers, and support annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze profitability by project and revenue stream; oversee purchase orders, master data, and SAP invoice processing.
• Monitor local bank and treasury positions and help strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and documentation; coordinate external audit requests and statutory audit follow-up.
• Support quarterly VAT filings and scenario reviews, corporate tax compliance, electronic invoicing implementation, and other-country tax forms.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 7 years of accounting or finance experience, with a track record in month-end close and management reporting.
• Strong hands-on SAP FI/CO experience is essential; SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus.
• Proven variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience; knowledge of IFRS, advanced Excel, and end-to-end auditor request management.
• Qualified accountant with ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent credentials.
• External audit experience, ideally Big 4 or mid-tier, combined with in-house multinational group experience, is preferred.
• Clear communication with non-finance colleagues, attention to detail, and team spirit.

Work location

• This is an on-site role based in Mumbai, supporting the MENA region; candidates should be willing to work from the Mumbai office.
