Senior Accountant & Finance Coordinator

Job Description

Responsabilities

• **External finance coordination:**
• actively collaborate with the external consultancy firm for account reconciliation, periodic documentation exchange, and verifying the accuracy of outsourced accounting entries.
• **General accounting & reporting:**
• recording internal transactions, bank reconciliations, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• **Dubai regulatory compliance:**
• management of all tax and corporate requirements in line with current regulations.
• **Review & internal audit:**
• conducting periodic checks on accounting documentation to ensure data accuracy and facilitate the annual external audit process.
• **VAT returns:**
• calculation, preparation, and supervision of VAT return submissions, ensuring internal data and external team records are perfectly aligned.
• **Trading reconciliations:**
• monitoring logistics costs, freight, and operating margins, providing the external team with the necessary information for closing financial reports.
• **Administrative support:**
• management of the

WPS (Wage Protection System)

Experience & Education

• **Sector (Plus):**
• previous experience in the
• commodity trading
• sector, with a specific focus on
• Dry and Tanker cargo
• operations, will be considered a significant advantage.
• **Education:**
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
• **Experience:**
• at least 5 years of experience in the role, with a proven ability to interface with external consultants or accounting outsourcing firms.
• **Languages:**
• excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Spanish or Italian is a preferred asset.

Technical Skills

• **Dubai Regulations:**
• in-depth knowledge of the UAE tax system, Corporate Tax, and local bureaucratic procedures.
• **Financial Audit:**
• specific expertise in auditing techniques, financial risk analysis, and preparation of documentation for external auditors.
• **Software:**
• advanced proficiency in Excel and major accounting ERP systems.
• **IFRS Standards:**
• solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.

Soft Skills

• **Interpersonal Skills:**
• excellent communication skills to manage the flow of information with the external finance team smoothly and professionally.
• **Analytical Precision:**
• ability to identify discrepancies between internal data and externally processed records.
• **Reliability:**
• management of sensitive data with maximum confidentiality and professional ethics.
• **Time Flexibility:**
• interfacing with clients and suppliers located in different time zones.
