The Role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with previous experience in brokerage, trading, fintech, or high-volume financial services environments to join our growing Dubai team.
This is not a traditional accounting role.
The position sits at the core of the company’s financial operations and requires strong understanding of multi-currency reconciliations, payment flows, liquidity provider settlements, client money movements, and operational controls within a fast-moving brokerage environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in building and optimizing the company’s finance infrastructure, including participation in the implementation and structuring of the company’s accounting and reporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, PSPs, client balances, liquidity providers, and internal ledgers
- Monitor and reconcile high-volume multi-currency payment flows across various providers and jurisdictions
- Track settlements with liquidity providers, institutional counterparties, and payment providers
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure integrity of accounting data across all systems
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and audit documentation
- Support regulatory, compliance, and financial reporting requirements
- Participate in implementation and optimization of accounting systems and operational workflows
- Work closely with management to improve financial controls, reporting structures, and operational efficiency
- Identify discrepancies, investigate breaks, and proactively resolve reconciliation issues
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and treasury-related operations
Requirements
- 3–7 years of accounting or finance operations experience
- Previous experience within a brokerage, forex/CFD firm, trading company, fintech, EMI, PSP, or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, settlements, and multi-currency accounting
- Experience working with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working within forex / CFD brokerages or proprietary trading firms
- Experience with client funds reconciliations and payment provider operations
- Understanding of brokerage operational flows, trading infrastructure, and financial controls
- Previous involvement in accounting system implementation or migration projects
- Experience working in high-growth or startup environments
