Senior Accountant

About This Role

Job Purpose

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reporting. This role supports business operations by managing financial transactions, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The position plays a key role in aligning financial practices with the operational requirements of the Logistics, Aviation, and Service industries, enabling informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Handle revenue recognition and cost allocation specific to logistics, aviation, and service-based operations
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Ensure accurate recording of operational costs, freight charges, service revenues, and aviation-related expenses
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist in tax filings
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies

Qualification

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field & Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA
• Job Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting/finance roles & Mandatory experience in Logistics, Aviation, and/or Service Industry & Strong understanding of cost structures, revenue streams, and financial reporting in the mentioned industries
• Training/Certification: Sound knowledge of IFRS and VAT laws, Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Odoo, SAP, or Oracle)

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
