Senior Accountant
About This Role
Plan and oversee the accounting program to ensure smooth operations.
Prepare monthly financial statements, job costing reports, and overhead statements.
Ensure compliance with international accounting standards when preparing annual accounts for external audits.
Provide necessary schedules and documentation for auditors.
Lead and supervise the Accounts Department, providing guidance and support to junior accountants.
Oversee financial transactions, records of assets, liabilities, and financial statements.
Supervise the coding of ledgers, cheque runs, and supplier account reconciliations.
Ensure timely recording of sales invoices and subsidiary ledger balancing.
Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Ensure accurate payroll processing, including gross earnings, deductions, and net withdrawals.
Conduct monthly inter-company and petty cash reconciliations.
Review fixed assets schedule, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations.
Maintain corporate documentation as required by local regulations.
Assist in the development of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate management information is provided to stakeholders.
Maintain good professional relationships with suppliers while adhering to credit terms.
Strong Expertise in ERP in Required
Work closely with the IT department to maintain and develop ERP and accounting information systems.
Ensure ERP utilization is optimized for financial data management.
