Senior Accountant

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Record and process journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare, review, and submit UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax returns.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain and update accounting systems and financial databases.
• Support the preparation of financial reports for management.
• Assist with external audits by preparing and providing supporting documents and schedules.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and UAE regulations.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience in bank reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Pay

• AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
