Accounting duties
- Maintain financial records and entries; record sales, income, expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Manage payables and receivables; prepare invoices, receipts, vouchers, and related documents.
- Reconcile bank transactions, cash accounts, payment platforms, and accounts with travel business partners.
- Monitor revenue from travel bookings, tickets, hotels, tours, visa services, and other tourism services.
- Prepare monthly statements and management reports; monitor cash flow and assist with budgets and financial planning.
- Track receivables, supplier payments, commissions, refunds, cancellations, and other travel-related transactions.
- Assist with UAE VAT and statutory requirements; prepare audit and financial review documents.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies and UAE regulations, resolve discrepancies, and perform other assigned finance duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a later education entry describes a bachelor’s degree as preferred.
- Five years of accounting experience; five years of tourism and travel experience is separately listed as required.
- UAE VAT and general UAE accounting knowledge; proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, payables, and receivables; numerical and analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Travel-agency accounting, airline ticketing, hotel supplier, or tourism transaction experience is an advantage.
Compensation
- The posting lists AED 4,000–6,000 per month.
