Blomster Jewellery seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant for work in the gold and precious metals industry.
The role requires accounting and financial reporting expertise and understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
Experience in gold, precious metals, jewellery, or bullion is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting and financial transactions and maintain accurate books and records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and comply with FTA requirements.
- Assist with UAE Corporate Tax calculations, compliance, and filing.
- Account properly for gold and precious metals transactions; monitor inventory, purchases, sales, and stock reconciliation.
- Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required information and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and support management with financial analysis and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Hands-on UAE VAT filing and compliance experience; practical UAE Corporate Tax compliance and filing experience.
- Gold, precious metals, jewellery, bullion, or related industry experience is preferred.
- Strong inventory and stock accounting knowledge; excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Relevant UAE accounting and tax experience is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–6,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Al Quoz.
