Role description
Full-time, on-site Senior Accountant position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Oversees daily accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and audit support in a tourism business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations; oversee month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports and cash flow analyses, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets and forecasts and monitor financial performance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to support audits.
- Provide financial insights to operations and management, improve internal controls, optimize costs and support strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills across general ledger, payables, receivables, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills and digital financial processes.
- Knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance; experience coordinating audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA or CMA certification is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
- Travel, tourism, hospitality or service-industry experience is beneficial.
- Able to work on-site in Dubai, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Four years of accounting experience is preferred; TRAACS experience is a major plus.
Pay
- Up to AED 8,000 per month.
