Role overview
The employer seeks a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join its team in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting records and prepare financial statements.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain VAT records and assist with VAT return preparation.
- Monitor company expenses, budgets, and project costs.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with UAE accounting regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant in the UAE; at least two years of accounts experience is also specified.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; the screening note names Zoho Books and/or QuickBooks.
- Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Construction-industry experience is an advantage.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- English and Hindi or Urdu fluency is required in the screening and application criteria.
