Senior Accountant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Cash Accountants and Cashiers.
• Review daily transactions, journal entries, receipts, and payments.
• Monitor cash management, bank deposits, and monthly reconciliations.
• Review accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
• Prepare and analyze periodic management financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and IFRS.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide requested financial information.
• Train and mentor accounting staff and promote continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems; Focus ERP is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
