Job Description The Senior Accountant role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and accuracy of a company’s accounting operations. This position involves overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing critical financial analysis and reporting. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial record-keeping process, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accuracy in balance sheets and ledgers. You will play a strategic role in budgeting, forecasting, and managing audits. This position demands strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support the company's financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage and streamline accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.
• Coordinate and lead the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate, local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Conduct financial analysis and present findings to senior management regularly.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting staff and interns.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and safeguards for receipts and expenditures.
• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate audit processes for annual reviews.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and provide resolution through strategic initiatives.
• Develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures as needed.
• Monitor cash flow and manage company’s financial liquidity effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and financial management tools.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred for this senior-level role.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team and management.
• Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards is essential.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving capabilities.
