Role Overview
Responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of assigned patients through continuous observation and monitoring.
Collaborates closely with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to provide a safe environment.
Communicates changes in patient condition, behavior, or safety concerns promptly and effectively to support high-quality patient care and safety.
Performs any additional delegated task within defined scope of practice.

- Responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of assigned patients through continuous observation and monitoring. Collaborates closely with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to provide a safe environment. Communicates changes in patient condition, behavior, or safety concerns promptly and effectively to support high-quality patient care and safety. Performs any additional delegated task within defined scope of practice.
- Education: ▪ Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- ▪ Required, tracked by the department/leadership:
- Complete all required education for position
- Complete Phase 1 Course within thirty days of hire
- Complete Phase 2 Course and pass assessment within ninety days of hire
- Experience: ▪ Preferred: Previous patient sitter experience Skills: ▪ Must be 18 years of age or older ▪ Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients and families ▪ Basic computer skills ▪ Ability to problem solve ▪ Flexibility and ability to remain alert to safety issues Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ N/A
