Security Supervisor

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the security team, ensuring all security personnel are well-trained, follow procedures, and perform their duties to the highest standard.
• Oversee the daily operations of security systems, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
• Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, investigate and document incidents, and prepare reports.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and conduct regular patrols to detect potential security risks or breaches.
• Maintain a visible presence on the property to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
• Lead emergency response procedures during evacuations, first-aid events, and fire drills.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to security personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs of security-related incidents, suspicious activities, and accidents, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk to ensure the security of all areas, particularly high-risk zones and special events.
• Ensure all security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) are functioning properly and report malfunctions for repair.
• Ensure the property complies with all relevant local security laws and regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in security management or related fields are a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury industry.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a security team, ensuring high performance and adherence to security protocols.
• Ability to handle security crises with professionalism and calm, leading the team effectively during emergencies.
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, and general security procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create reports and interact with guests and employees.
• Sharp attention to detail for detecting security risks and potential hazards.
• Excellent ability to analyze security situations, make quick decisions, and implement effective solutions.
• Physical stamina to remain active, patrol large areas, and respond to security issues in physically demanding conditions.
• Professional, approachable, and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
• Competent in the use of security technologies and basic office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
