Security Software Engineer

Design and build secure, scalable systems that protect Motive products, infrastructure, and customer data.
Work across engineering and product teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
Build authentication flows, OAuth integrations, authorization platforms, BYOK capabilities, and other product security features.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain security features, tooling, services, and automation across products and cloud infrastructure.
- Review architecture, code, data handling, and threat models; identify and reduce security risks.
- Define secure design patterns and guidance; partner with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Lead security projects through design, implementation, rollout, and improvement; contribute to security testing and mentor engineers.
What we're looking for
- At least five years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, application security, or a related discipline.
- Strong programming experience with Python, Go, JavaScript, or a similar language.
- Experience with authentication, OAuth, authorization or identity platforms; application vulnerabilities; cloud security, particularly AWS.
- Experience with secure development, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security automation.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, and open-source security tools.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
