Security Manager

Role overview

Security operations and personnel

• Develop, implement, and review security policies, procedures, and operational plans.
• Manage security staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Assess security risks and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Coordinate patrols, site inspections, incident investigations, and reporting.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate responses to incidents and potential threats.

Coordination and oversight

• Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and external security providers when required.
• Investigate breaches, theft, misconduct, and suspicious activity, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure staff compliance with company procedures and applicable legal requirements.
• Improve security operations, manage budgets and contracts, maintain records, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with departments on workplace safety and conduct security briefings and training.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security operations, supervision, risk management, or a related role, including management of security teams and site operations.
• Knowledge of security procedures, access control, surveillance, and emergency response planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, investigation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant security management systems; good written and spoken English.
• A degree or diploma in a related field and relevant security or emergency-response qualifications are advantages.
• Must meet applicable licensing, background screening, and regulatory requirements.
