ACESGroup seeks casual Security Officers with a Medium or Heavy Rigid Driver Licence to drive a shuttle bus.
The role alternates between driving a shuttle between campuses and nearby suburbs and conducting high-visibility walking patrols.
Responsibilities and duties
- Drive a shuttle bus around campus and nearby suburbs, picking up and dropping off students on request.
- Maintain safety and professionalism when interacting with students and staff during transport.
- Conduct high-visibility walking patrols on designated pathways and main campus areas when not on shuttle shifts.
- Respond to workplace emergencies and alarm activations, inspect site safety and protect users from security risks.
- Manage incidents, reduce risk, manage access control systems, and maintain security records, communication logs and reports.
- Deliver service standards and contribute to operational efficiency and improved performance.
Essential criteria
- NSW Security Licence 1A and a Medium or Heavy Rigid NSW Driver Licence are mandatory.
- A current RSA competency card, First Aid and CPR, and Working with Children Check are required.
- Fire Warden qualification is required, or applicants must be willing to attain it.
- Applicants need excellent customer service and communication skills, professional presentation, reliability and punctuality.
- Applicants must be available for a 24/7 rotating roster across seven days, including day shifts from 0700–1530 and evening shifts from 1530–0000.
