Security Engineer

A leading global investment platform is looking to hire an experienced Security Engineer to join its Security Architecture & Engineering team. This is a high-impact role focused on strengthening enterprise-wide cybersecurity capabilities through engineering, automation, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Security Engineering & Automation

• Design, deploy, and maintain automated cybersecurity controls and guardrails
• Enhance security posture by automating manual processes using scripting, AI, and modern tooling
• Support engineering teams with debugging, root cause analysis, and remediation of security issues
• Build and enhance security tooling, integrations, and automation workflows

Security Stack & Tooling

• Administer and optimise enterprise security tools (EDR, SIEM, DLP, Vulnerability Management, etc.)
• Evaluate tool effectiveness and contribute to ongoing security architecture improvements
• Support product selection, proof-of-concepts, and implementation of new capabilities

Architecture & Design

• Develop secure design patterns, reference architectures, and technical documentation
• Conduct architectural reviews and lightweight threat modelling for new technologies

Threat Research & Incident Support

• Research emerging threats and recommend proactive improvements
• Support incident response when required
• Mentor and guide junior team members on tooling and best practices

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms
• Strong experience in Azure and modern cloud security practices
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture , IAM, and network security
• Experience with automation, scripting (e.g. PowerShell), and integrations
• Exposure to DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and serverless environments
• Experience leveraging AI/LLM technologies for automation, analysis, or security workflows is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, GSEC, CEH, Security+) are advantageous
