About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Scrap Metal Purchasing & Trading Executive to join our team in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, building strong client relationships, responding to enquiries, and purchasing scrap metal through our proprietary application.
This role combines customer service, account management, and trading activities, making it ideal for an individual who enjoys working with customers while identifying purchasing opportunities and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide outstanding service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive experience at all times.
- Purchase scrap metal through the company's trading application.
- Review incoming offers and negotiate competitive prices with suppliers.
- Build long-term relationships with scrap suppliers and customers.
- Follow up on customer requests, quotations, and transactions.
- Monitor market conditions and pricing trends within the scrap metal industry.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth collection and processing of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, purchases, and transactions using company systems.
- Identify opportunities to increase purchasing volumes and customer engagement.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, account management, customer service, trading, procurement, or a related role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using mobile applications, CRM systems, and digital platforms.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience within the recycling, waste management, scrap metal, or commodities sector is beneficial but not essential.
