Set the tone and climate of the school and ensure it operates to high quality standards, including results, enrollment, health and safety, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage school employees in performing delegated tasks; uphold school and SABIS values and maintain the school's image to SABIS standards.
- Foster an environment for full implementation of the SABIS Educational System.
- Oversee performance improvement initiatives, recommend changes, and ensure corrective actions and strategic initiatives are implemented.
- Develop and improve classroom observation, performance evaluation, enrollment, discipline, and teacher training processes, including automation where needed.
- Monitor academic issues through classroom observations, meetings with Academic Quality Controllers, and analysis of results using SSMS, trackers, and other SSMS tools.
- Develop corrective action plans and support teachers; ensure resources are available and effectively used.
- Prepare reports as needed, including accreditation reports.
- Follow up on and attend teacher training to understand the quality of new recruits.
- Present the SABIS system, procedures, policies, and methodologies to parents; handle other related tasks and projects delegated by management.
Role knowledge and capabilities
- In-depth understanding of the academic curriculum at each school level to discuss issues with parents.
- Ability to adapt to local norms and culture while abiding by SABIS philosophy and core values.
