About This Role

SCADA / PLC Maintenance Operator / Programmer

Job Responsibilities

1. System Operation & Monitoring

  • Operate and monitor SCADA systems to ensure continuous plant operation
  • Monitor real-time process data, alarms, and system performance
  • Take immediate corrective actions in case of abnormal conditions

2. PLC Programming & Troubleshooting

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g., ladder logic, function block)
  • Diagnose faults in PLC systems and rectify hardware/software issues
  • Perform program backups and maintain version control

3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation systems
  • Perform breakdown maintenance and ensure minimum downtime
  • Inspect control panels, I/O modules, communication systems

4. SCADA System Management

  • Maintain and update SCADA screens, graphics, and database
  • Configure alarms, trends, and reporting systems
  • Ensure proper communication between PLC, RTU, and SCADA servers

5. Instrumentation & Field Devices

  • Calibrate and maintain sensors (pressure, flow, level, temperature)
  • Troubleshoot field instruments connected to PLC/SCADA
  • Ensure proper signal transmission and accuracy

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports
  • Maintain logs of system faults, modifications, and corrective actions
  • Update technical documents, drawings, and control logic diagrams

7. System Integration & Upgrades

  • Assist in system upgrades, expansion, and commissioning
  • Integrate new equipment with existing PLC/SCADA systems
  • Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test)

8. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
  • Ensure systems comply with client and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety audits

9. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • Support contractors and vendors during maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support to plant operators

10. Emergency Support

  • Respond to system failures and emergencies on priority
  • Provide on-call support when required
  • Restore system operations with minimal downtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Operate and monitor SCADA systems: 3 years (Required)
  • PLC/SCADA : 3 years (Required)
