Overview
FORTE CORP. is seeking a highly experienced senior satellite communications and maritime systems specialist to support ongoing maritime operational missions involving vessel-to-ground communications, operational continuity, and technical coordination in the Sultanate of Oman and surrounding maritime areas.
The position requires advanced technical expertise in satellite communications, maritime communication systems, radar systems, and secure operational network configurations within complex maritime environments.
Main responsibilities
- include:
- deployment, configuration, maintenance, and supervision of vessel-to-ground satellite communication systems;
- setup and operation of satellite terminals, communication relays, antennas, and long-range communication infrastructure;
- configuration and troubleshooting of secure communication systems and operational communication networks;
- support and maintenance of radar systems, navigation-support equipment, and onboard electronic operational systems;
- establishment of redundant communication capabilities between onboard personnel and shore-based operational teams;
- technical supervision of onboard communication hardware and associated power systems;
- integration and operation of communication equipment within maritime operational environments;
- assistance with secure data transmission, operational reporting, and communication continuity procedures;
- coordination with operational teams, technical personnel, and relevant maritime stakeholders when required;
- rapid troubleshooting and technical response in degraded or emergency communication environments.
- Preferred profile:
- strong experience in satellite communication systems and maritime communications;
- previous military maritime, naval, offshore, or defense-sector experience preferred;
- advanced knowledge of radar systems, communication infrastructure, and electronic operational equipment;
- experience with secure communication protocols and field communication deployments;
- ability to work in isolated and operational maritime environments;
- strong technical autonomy and problem-solving capabilities;
- English fluency required; Arabic considered an advantage;
- experience within GCC maritime environments considered a strong advantage.
