The role spans oil and gas finance, joint venture accounting, and capital project execution.
Core responsibilities
- Serve as a functional expert and trusted advisor for SAP JVA, FICO, and/or Project Systems.
- Own functional roadmaps, configuration, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
- Support joint interest billing, partner reporting, cost allocation, and period-end close.
- Support AFE-driven capital project processes from WBS setup and budgeting through settlement and capitalization.
- Identify automation and process improvements with Accounting, Finance, Land, Operations, and Engineering.
- Develop SQL queries and BI reporting for financial, project, and joint venture data.
- Lead root-cause analysis, unit testing, and integrated business test scenarios.
- Provide escalated support, training, documentation, and change management; manage vendor SLAs.
- Lead IT projects as needed and drive continuous improvement and technology adoption.
- Support external applications including Blackline, OpenInvoice, EnergyLink, and QLS.
Technology ecosystem
- SAP ECC and S/4HANA, including JVA, FICO, and Project Systems.
- SQL using MS-SQL and/or Oracle; BI tools such as Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- System integrations, APIs, Master Data Management, automation, and enterprise financial and operational reporting.
- Other financial and oil and gas-specific applications as needed.
Qualifications
- A related bachelor's degree is strongly preferred; examples include Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, and Business Administration.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA or ECC functional experience with JVA, FICO, and Project Systems.
- Oil and gas experience is required, including advanced knowledge of upstream applications and business processes.
- Proficiency with SQL (MS-SQL or Oracle) and BI tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- S/4HANA implementation, migration, or upgrade experience and SAP certification in FICO, PS, or related modules are listed as qualifications.
- Technical experience with ABAP, LSMW, PIPO/CPI, and LTMC is listed.

Compensation
- Salary is listed as USD 108,800–134,400 yearly.
