Role overview

Own master data governance strategy, taxonomy design, and operational governance during the enterprise transformation from legacy Oracle EBS to SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP).

Work with business leaders, domain owners, and implementation partners to establish consistent data standards and governance.

Business leadership and governance

  • Drive business-unit adoption and challenge legacy data habits, non-standard taxonomies, and uncoordinated master data creation.
  • Define, implement, and enforce enterprise master data policies, standards, ownership matrices, and operating models.
  • Chair the Data Governance Council, resolve ownership disputes, and obtain executive sign-off on definitions and taxonomy decisions.
  • Promote data quality culture and hold stakeholders accountable during migration and after go-live.

Taxonomy and architecture

  • Design and maintain taxonomies, hierarchies, and metadata across materials/products, business partners/vendors/customers, financials/COA, and assets.
  • Translate business processes into SAP S/4HANA data requirements and align the transition from Oracle EBS data structures.

Migration and oversight

  • Lead data cleansing, enrichment, mapping, and validation with system integrators and migration partners, including tools such as ChainSys Data Management Suite.
  • Define, monitor, and report data-quality metrics, readiness scorecards, and audit trails to executive management throughout the transformation.

Required qualifications and experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading MDG and MDM initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience leading SAP MDG implementations and data migrations in SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP) environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, drive accountability, and uphold governance standards.
  • Excellent executive-level presentation and negotiation skills in English, including communication with non-technical leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred qualifications

  • Oracle EBS-to-SAP S/4HANA migration experience is preferred.
  • Dubai/UAE enterprise experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ChainSys tools or similar automated extraction and transformation platforms is preferred.
  • SAP MDG, DAMA-CDMP, or data governance certification is preferred.

Pay

  • AED 11,000–24,000 per month.

Work location

  • Work location is stated as in person.
