Role purpose
Lead technical architecture, design governance, and delivery across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
Steer developers, vendors, and partners toward secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Reports to the Head of IT Change Delivery / SAP Manager.
Employment and locations
- Contractor engagement stated as 1+ year and extendable.
- Base location is Dubai; deployment location is Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
- Immediate availability to 15 days is stated.
Key responsibilities
- Design end-to-end SAP technical solutions across ECC and S/4HANA, producing SDDs, TDDs, and specifications.
- Lead technical work involving ABAP/OO, BADIs, OData, CDS, RAP, Fiori/UI5, and Adobe/Smart Forms.
- Architect SAP workflow and integrations using CPI iFlows, APIs, RFC/BAPI, BTP, and Event Mesh.
- Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain a technical debt register with a remediation roadmap.
- Oversee technical delivery from SIT and UAT through cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
- Direct vendors and partners, drive knowledge transfer, and contribute to the RISE initiative.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 9–12+ years of SAP technical experience with significant architecture leadership.
- At least 3 full-cycle SAP implementation, upgrade, or migration projects.
- Proven experience leading SAP development teams, vendors, and outsourced partners.
- Government, large-enterprise, or regulated-environment experience is an advantage.
- SAP technical certifications are a plus.
Must-have skills
- Expert ABAP / ABAP OO and SAP Workflow.
- SAP S/4HANA and ECC; SAP CPI / Integration Suite.
- OData / APIs, CDS Views, Fiori / UI5, BAPI / BDC / RFC, and User Exits / BADIs.
- Solution architecture, code review and governance, performance tuning, and secure development.
- Good-to-have skills include RAP, SAP BTP, and Agile / DevOps / CI-CD.
