Sanitation Senior Operator (1st Shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification
• Understanding of the clean in place (CIP) process
• Forklift experience
• Experience with sanitation equipment (scrubbers, pressure washers, etc)
• Physical Requirements:
• Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
• What will be your key responsibilities?
• Operate and maintain the waste treatment facility and perform equipment teardown, rebuilds, chemical titrations, troubleshooting and inspections.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems and support area cleaning, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Monitor operations to ensure all specifications are met and documented.
• Disassemble, reassemble, sanitize, and inspect production equipment.
• Assist in planning and coordinating plant shutdown activities.
• Follow up on unplanned work orders.
• Train and mentor Maintenance Services associates.
• Manage interactions with outside vendors.
• Identify, propose, and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Manage the waste treatment plant, schedule scrap/waste removal and replenish cleaning chemical inventories.
