Role Description
The Sandwich Maker role at Twisters Cafe in Abu Dhabi is a full-time, on-site position focused on preparing made-to-order sandwiches and related menu items to company standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling sandwiches, handling ingredients, following recipes and portion guidelines, and ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time.
The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, and supporting overall kitchen operations such as restocking and prep work.
The Sandwich Maker also interacts with customers and team members in a courteous, helpful manner to support a friendly, efficient service environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak hours, is required.
Qualifications
- Strong Food Preparation skills, including handling ingredients, assembling menu items, and following standardized recipes.
- Experience or interest in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations within a cafe, quick-service, or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of basic Food Safety practices, including hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and proper storage and handling.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, stay calm during busy periods, and provide a positive guest experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic English communication skills; additional language skills are an advantage in a diverse customer environment.
- Previous experience in a sandwich shop, cafe, or similar food service role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative approach to working with a diverse team.
